NFL Week 6 Picks by Cooper the Analyst and Cup of Joe

NFL Football Week 6 is Here!!!!  The NY Giants (2-3) visit the New England Patriots (5-0) to kickoff Week 6. The Patriots are heavily favored in this game especially with all the key offensive weapons for the Giants out. The only saving grace for New York could be the weather, which is suppose to include high winds and hard rain.
Week 6 will see an early game here on Sunday that will be played in London between the Panthers and Buccaneers. Both teams are playing well as of late and this should be a close game but pretty high scoring. Carolina looks to avenge an earlier season loss to the Buccaneers. In perhaps a game that looks to be a shootout, the Texans travel to play Kansas City. Both teams have high scoring offenses.  In a game of win less teams, the Redskins visit the Dolphins. Washington who fired their HC Gruden this week, still are a franchise in disarray with a meddling owner who has no clue on how to run a franchise.  Philadelphia travels to Minnesota in a must win game for the Vikings. The Eagles have turned their season around while the Vikings are dealing with team discord and rumblings of unhappiness. The Bengals visit Baltimore in a game that looks like an easy win for the Ravens and the Bengals remain win less.
The Saints travel to Jacksonville in a game behind 2 backup QB's that are playing very well for their teams.  Seattle visits Cleveland as the Seahawks look to continue their winning ways and the Browns looks to get over their debacle of a game in SF.  Browns QB Baker Mayfield once again was at the front of attention as he continues to say and do stupid things in regards to dealing with NFL players around the league.  The undefeated and surprise of the NFL so far, the 49'ers travel to play the Rams in a huge game for both teams. San Fran behind their young but very opposing DL and a strong run game, look to distance themselves from the Rams in the standings.  The Falcons visit the Cardinals in a game of two teams just looking to gain some momentum moving forward. Both teams seem to be already looking towards next years draft and the 2020 season. The NY Jets host the Cowboys in a must win game for the Cowboys and a don't let our QB Sam Darnold get beat up for the Jets in his first game back from mono. The Titans visit the Broncos in a game of good defenses but average offenses. Denver which won for the first time last week against the Chargers look to win their second game.
In the Sunday night game, the banged up Steelers visit the Chargers in a must win game for LA but a hope we don't embarrass ourselves game for Pittsburgh.  The Monday night game features the first place Packers hosting Detroit in a game for 1st place in the NFC North.  The Lions have won the last 4 games against the Packers.
On a side note, the NFL upheld the suspension of Raiders LB Vontaze Burfict for the remainder of the season. Burfict who is one of the dirtiest players in the league once again targeted a defensive player. He was seen smiling after he was ejected from the game and had to leave the field.  The Raiders HC and players all stood behind Burfict even as they know he is not respected  by other players or teams in the league. The NFL was right to do as they did.
The NFC North is without doubt the toughest Division is all of Football...
There were no consensus picks to be win Super Bowl LIV in the preseason but the Patriots and Cowboys and Rams and Chiefs stand out for far!!! . Looks like numerous teams have a chance this season. Each year, every team and their fans are optimistic that this will be their year to win the Super Bowl. There are the contenders, the so so's and the pretenders. Contenders this season will be in the AFC; the Pats, Chiefs and Chargers.  In the NFC;  Bears, Eagles, Rams, Saints.  The pretenders will be; Bengals (even with a very easy schedule), Raiders, Redskins, Buccaneers, and Dolphins. Surprise teams are: Browns, Texans, Lions, Falcons, Broncos and Jets.  The Colts had been the talk of potentially getting to the Super Bowl before QB Andrew Luck abruptly retired 2 weeks ago.   Cooper was 11-4 in his week 5 and is 57-26-1 YTD.  See his NFL Picks and he looks forward to another fun and exciting season.  We will pick the games each week and post the previous weeks records and recap as we go forward.. Enjoy the NFL Season!!!  Cooper says are ready for some Football.....  twitter; @Thecupofjoeinthed   email; cupofjoeinthed@gmail.com    www.cupofjoeinthed.blogspot.com
