CFB Top25 Week 8 by Joey the Cat and CupofJoeintheD

   Here is the CFB Top 25 Week 8, updated by Joey the CFB Cat Analyst and also by CupofJoeintheD. The second half of the College Football Season will showcase some intriguing matchups that include Top 25 games: Penn State at Michigan, Oregon at Washington and Utah at Arizona State,   Power 5 Conferences are now getting into every weekend where teams that lose will have a hard time getting to the Conference Championship or the CFB Playoffs. The only Power 5 Conference that doesn't have a Conference Championship game is the ACC. Clemson and Notre Dame have very easy schedules and easier roads to the 4 team CFP. Although Notre Dame does have one loss already in the season.  
      A recap of week 7 saw Top 5 ranked Georgia lose at home to unranked South Carolina in 2 OT's.  It could be very tough for the Bulldogs to overcome this loss and get into the 4 team CFB Playoffs.  Notre Dame also had a scare by USC but held on to win and LSU won a very close game against Florida to remain unbeaten. 
     Week 8 is more of a breather week for most Top 25 teams and We will see who can remain unbeaten? Will Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, LSU, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Penn State, Minnesota, Baylor and Appalachian State continue to win?
     Right now there can be statements made for Ohio State as being the best team in the Country right now. Alabama has issues on both sides of the ball and Clemson has some issues as well. There are at least 10 teams who have a shot at making this years CFP..
     Week 7 starts on Wednesday night with a non Power 5 conference games. There seems to be a handful of games that could see Top 25 teams upset this week...
      Joey was 25-7 in week 7 including picking 2 upsets. YTD, Joey is 148-42 with 24 upsets picked thru week 7.  Joey will provide his picks of the week on Wednesday as he does every week.
