NFL Week 1 Picks by Cooper the Analyst and Cup of Joe in the D

NFL Football Season is Finally Here!!!!  Week 1 kicks off with the Green Bay Packers visiting the Chicago Bears. The off season was very busy with Free Agency and Big Trades and the settlement of the NFL and ex QB Colin Kaepernick. Big names that were traded were Odell Beckham to the Browns and Antonio Brown to the Raiders. Both were huge distractions to their old teams and while Beckham has settled in nicely to Cleveland, Brown has been nothing but drama and a huge distraction. First it was his mysterious foot injury and then his tiff with Steelers QB Roethlisberger, then it was a helmet issue and last but not least, he got into with the Raiders GM Mayock at practice, threatened Mayock and will probably be suspended for it. Looks like the Steelers knew what they were doing when they only got a 5th round pick in return for Brown. The Raiders need to send a message and suspend Brown for 4 games and reduce his guaranteed money. Make it hurt where it counts with Brown!!!!
Update on Brown, Raiders fine him and void his guaranteed monies. He then goes to Social Media and demands to be released, Raiders release him and He signs with the Patriots. It will be interesting to see how long they put up with his crap.
On a side note, I would be remiss if I didn't again point out how meaningless the NFL Preseason is and it is all about making more and more money for the Owners at the cost of the players. Many players sustain major injuries, season ending and career ending injuries in these games. The study concluded gambling now will result in 2.4B more in revenue going to the NFL and its Owners every year. It is time for a new CBA and better revenue sharing between the Owners and Players.
The NFC North is the toughest Division is all of Football...
The are no consensus picks to be win Super Bowl LIII. Looks like numerous teams have a chance this season. Each year, every team and their fans are optimistic that this will be their year to win the Super Bowl. There are the contenders, the so so's and the pretenders. Contenders this season will be in the AFC; the Pats, Chiefs and Chargers.  In the NFC; Vikings, Bears, Eagles, Rams, Saints.  The pretenders will be; Bengals (even with a very easy schedule), Raiders, Redskins, Buccaneers, and Dolphins. Surprise teams are: Browns, Texans, Lions, Falcons, Broncos and Jets.  The Colts had been the talk of potentially getting to the Super Bowl before QB Andrew Luck abruptly retired 2 weeks ago.   Cooper was 178-85-2 in his NFL Picks last season and looks forward to another fun and exciting season.  We will pick the games each week and post the previous weeks records and recap as we go forward.. Enjoy the NFL Season!!!  Cooper says are ready for some Football.....  twitter; @Thecupofjoeinthed   email; cupofjoeinthed@gmail.com    www.cupofjoeinthed.blogspot.com
