Down to the Elite Eight full of Contenders and Underdogs

     The Elite Eight is here and it is full of the perennial favorites and also surprise teams and a few teams no one had at all reaching this point in the NCAA Tournament. The Teams that are left vying for next weeks Final Four and Championship Game on April 2nd are as follows:
#11 seed - Loyola of Chicago
#9  seed - Kansas State
#9  seed - Florida State
#3  seed - Texas Tech
#3  seed - Michigan
#2  seed - Duke
#1  seed - Kansas
#1  seed - Villanova

    The NCAA Tournament started with 68 teams and we are now down to the last Eight. Gone are many of the favorites, brackets busted, players from teams eliminated already announcing for the upcoming NBA draft and some Coaches fired and others moving onto hopefully greener pastures and new teams. College Basketball Fans alike root for their favorite teams but also seem to root for an underdog going as far as they can as march Madness starts to wind down with one week left to go.
    The looming corruption scandal has taken some of the excitement out of this years March Madness. And many are waiting for the FBI to finally blow the lid off College Basketball as we now know it. In the meantime, the Tournament continues this weekend with the winning teams off to San Antonio for Easter Weekend and a trip to the Final Four.
     Joey once again is having a successful picking of his NCAA Bracket, going 41-15 so far and still has 5 out of the 8 team in the Elite Eight.  Here are His picks for the Elite Eight;
Elite Eight - Day 1;
Michigan, Kansas State (Joey had picked Kentucky in the South)
Joey went 1-1 on 1st Day on Elite Eight Finals on Saturday
Elite Eight - Day 2;
Villanova, Duke
Joey went 1-1 on 2nd Day on Elite Eight Finals on Sunday
