College Basketball Final Season Rankings - Week 19 Top 25

Here are the College Basketball Top 25 final regular season rankings by Joey the NCAA Basketball Analyst. Joey Baloney the Cat is getting excited for the NCAA Tournament just around the corner. Selection Sunday surprised many and teams got in from bigger conferences that maybe should not of and the mid major conferences were skipped over once again. The selection committee this year probably had one of its worst years in many years, but if you listened to the head of the selection committee, Creighton Athletic Director Bruce Rasmussen, who dodged many of the questions asked of him by ESPN and CBS College Basketball Analysts. Rasmussen stated that this years Selection Committee selected the right schools for the 68 teams. He repeatedly stated how important the workload of a schedule was, no matter if it was at the beginning of the year or at the end but refused to comment on any questions as it related to mid major teams not being able to play as tough of a schedule because the major Power 5 conferences refused to play these teams and if they do play them on occasion, they will only play them at home.  It is clearly evident for most mid level to smaller schools that if you do not win your conference championship, you will get passed over for larger conference schools who have 12 or 13 or even 14 losses.
The NCAA Tournament snubs and flubs were with the biggest smaller schools getting passed over for the Tournament were; Middle Tennessee State University (27-6), which 2 years ago as a #15 seed, upset Michigan State in the 1st round and St. Mary's (28-5) which beat Gonzaga this season but lost in their conference tournament. Others making a case for being left out were; USC (23-11), Notre Dame (20-14), Oklahoma State (19-14), Marquette (19-13), and Louisville (20-13).  It should also be mentioned that Oklahoma State, USC and Louisville all have one major thing in common, they are 3 of the major teams that are part of the FBI investigation into corruption in College Basketball.
CBS had a major flub in changing their format of announcing the teams in the NCAA and their selection process this year as they announced all the teams that were selected in the first 10 minutes and then took another 1/2 hour to seed them and put them into their perspective Regions. Hey CBS, go back to the format that has worked for years.  March Madness is here and as it was last year, Joey again will pick his best of the 64 teams and His brackets. Last Year, Joey finished an amazing 55-8 including having the 3 of the the Final 4 picked correctly as well as the Championship winner  Stay tuned this year to see how He does again.
