NFL Week 17 Picks by Cooper NFL Analyst and Cup of Joe in the D
Happy New Years to Everyone in 2018!!!!! We are down to the final week of the NFL regular season and only a handful of teams are fighting for a playoff spot today. A few teams just need to win today to get into the playoffs while others will need help from other teams to have any chance. But by the end of the day, we will know the 12 teams that will be in this years NFL Playoffs.
The coaching carousel began a few weeks when the NY Giants fired their Head Coach and rumors already are swirling that Bruce Arians will not return to the Arizona Cardinals, while the Indianapolis Colts will not retain Chuck Pagano, Marvin Lewis in Cincinnati and the Oakland Raiders are making a hard push to bring back Jon Gruden. Look for a few other teams to make a coaching change, possibly the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears just to name a few potential coaching changes after today's games.
The NFL decided not do anything to the Houston Texans for their unacceptable handling of QB Tom Savage and the continued errors in the NFL Concussion Protocol Program. The NFL needs an unbiased Neurosurgeon at every NFL game not one just in New York looking at all the games going on to see if someone needs immediate attention. The NFL and NFLPA need to get together and get this right and the bungling of also not doing anything to Seattle when Russell Wilson came back from a potential concussion without listening to doctors. Letting the Packers get away with putting Aaron Rodgers back on IR and its violation of the CBA should of made him an immediate Free Agent but the NFL once again chose not to do anything at all. The NFL also needs to find a better way to handle challenges by Coaches and better camera angles especially at the goal line. Also, please get all officials on board with what a catch is and isn't for next season.
It has been another very successful and fun filled season for Cooper and we want to thank all who follow Cooper and My Blog for the past few years. We look forward to the playoffs and making our picks as well as the follow up of the playoff games.
Cooper went 8-8 in week 16 and YTD is 170-70 and CupofJoeintheD also went 10-6 in week 16 picks. We will continue to post His record for each weekend and season total. twitter; @cupofjoeinthed email; cupofjoeinthed@gmail.com www.cupofjoeinthed.blogspot.com
