Week 6 of the NFL season begins Thursday night with two of the NFC 1st place teams as the Philadelphia Eagles (3-1) travel to North Carolina to face the Carolina Panthers (3-1). This will be an interesting and entertaining
game to say the least. Both teams can score at will but it will be which defense steps up and can make the big plays. Also just in, BREAKING NEWS, the Federal Appeals Court has upheld the NFL's suspension for Ezekiel Elliott and the suspension will begin immediately after the Cowboys Bye week this week.
Sunday starts off with Green Bay. which is currently in 1st place in the NFC North traveling to Minnesota to place the 2nd place Vikings. This will be a game of the Packers high scoring offense against one of the best defenses in the NFL. The Falcons fresh off their bye week will host the Miami Dolphins. Atlanta fresh off its bye week have some big questions as their main receivers have been banged up and WR Julio Jones is far off his normal pace the past few years as one of the best WR's in the NFL. Detroit travels to New Orleans to face the upstart and surprising Saints in a must win game for both teams to remain competitive in the NFC Divisions.
The win less and hapless Browns once again made another QB change and benched early on favorite DeKiser for more seasoned Hogan, to hopefully spark an inept offense against the Texans who took huge hits to its defense with season ending injuries to JJ Watt and Whitney Mercilus. Houston will have to rely heavily on rookie QB and their explosive offense for the rest of the season. With the AFC South wide open, it is time for the Texans to make a move if they want to win the Division. Washington also fresh off its bye week will host the win less 49ers in a game that has all the markings of a trap game for the Redskins who also need a win to keep pace with the Eagles in the NFC East. Baltimore coming off its thrashing of the Raiders last week, face the Bears who started the 2nd pick in the NFL Draft, Mitch Trubisky last week. Look for the Ravens to win this game going away. New England travels to the Big Apple to face the NY Jets in a game that will showcase Tom Brady and its explosive offense against a good secondary for the Jets. For the Jets to have any chance, they need to win the turnover battle and run the ball for over 150 yards against a bad Patriots defense.
In the late afternoon games, the Buccaneers travel to Arizona to face a Cardinals team struggling on both sides of the ball. Tampa Bay looks to rebound after last weeks loss to the Patriots. The Jacksonville Jaguars host the LA Rams in a game of the Jacksonville's Top 5 defense Top 5 against the Rams Top 5 offense. Pittsburgh travels to undefeated Kansas City in a game that the Steelers look to erase last weeks nightmare loss at home to the Jaguars and the Chiefs look to go to 6-0 and remain the only NFL team still perfect . A battle of 2 AFC West teams has the LA Chargers visiting the Raiders in Oakland as the Chargers looking for their 2nd win of the season playing against a struggling Raiders team playing without starting QB Derek Carr.
The Sunday night game looks like an lopsided affair as the (0-6) NY Giants travel to Denver to face the Broncos with their great defense. The Giants who lost Odell Beckham jr, for the season also have no idea who will line up at WR for this game and unless the defense can copy last years late season run this will be another loss for the Giants.
Monday
night will have 2 disappointing and struggling teams face off as the Titans will host the Colts who will once again be without starting QB Andrew Luck, who has yet to play a game this season. For the Titans, it will be a game time decision as to whether their QB Marcus Mariota will be playing or sitting this game.
