NFL Power Rankings Week 9 and Week 8 Recap

The NFL Power Rankings for week 9 and Recap after week 8 of the Season. The Baltimore Ravens crushed the hapless Dolphins 40-0 in as lopsided of a game that you will ever see. Once again a question of a late and hard hit to the head of a QB was late in the 2nd qtr. when Ravens QB Joe Flacco's head was driven into the ground by Miami's Kiko Alonso, knocking Flacco out of the game with a concussion. Another main player hit hard and knocked out of the game. Also, BREAKING NEWS, Ezekiel Elliott's attempt to  an injunction against the NFL and his 6 game suspension was denied by the Federal Court in New York. The Court gave Elliott 24 hours to try and appeal the decision which at this point is unlikely. His 6 game suspension will start immediately. The NFL Trading deadline is 4 pm today. Monday was a busy day already as both the Patriots and 49ers made a trade as did the Texans and the Seahawks.
It was another Sunday of any team can win on any given Sunday in the NFL. In London, the Vikings won their 6th game of the season as they beat the win less Browns. Cleveland kept it close thru the 1st half but was blown out in the second half. Cincinnati beat the Colts by a point in a game of 2 teams that have no chance to get into the playoffs this season.  In Philly, in downpour rain, the Eagles took down the 49'ers who were looking for their 1st win of the season. Philly improved to 7-2.  Oakland went into Buffalo and ran into one of the top defenses in the league and got a beat down by the Bills. With the loss, the Raiders have lost more game already this season then they did all last season. Another game played in a torrential downpour saw the Falcons eek out a tough win against the Jets. It was a sloppy played game but one Atlanta needed to win.  In Tampa Bay, a game that both the Buccaneers and Panthers needed to win, we saw a snoozer of a game as both Cam Newton and Jameis Winston struggled all game long and it was Carolina coming away with the victory. New Orleans won their fifth game in a row to remain atop the NFC South with a hard fought win over the Chicago Bears. The Patriots continued their winning ways in downing the San Diego Chargers.
In the late Sunday games, We saw the best game of the week in Seattle, where the Seahawks behind Russell Wilson, beat the Texans and DeShawn Watson. It was an entertaining shootout as both QB's threw for over 400 yards. It came down to questionable play calling and bad time management by Houston Texans Head Coach Bill O'Brien. The Cowboys ran all over the Redskins in bad weather to win their 3rd game in a row and will now be without star RB Ezekiel Elliott for 6 games.  The Sunday night game, saw a 97 yd. TD pass by Ben Roethlisberger and a bend but not break defense as the Steelers beat the Detroit Lions. Detroit was in the red zone 5 times but couldn't find the end zone and had to settle for 5 Matt Prater FG's.
The Monday night game saw two AFC West teams battle it out but in the end the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Denver Broncos as the Broncos turned the ball over 5 times. Look for a QB change this week in Denver.
