CFB Top25 Week 10 and Recap of week 9 by CupofJoeintheD

Here is the CFB Top 25 Week 10 , updated by Joey the CFB Cat Analyst and also by CupofJoeintheD and the recap of Week 9 of the CFB season  A week where the Top 5 took a big hit as #2 Penn State and #5 TCU both lost for the first time all season.
Alabama, once again remained the top team in the CFB Poll but Georgia made up some ground as they became the new #2 team in the Country. After that, the Top 10 is a toss up as to who is seeded where they are in Week 10.  As the remaining games are played out, the Top 10 will shuffle itself again and again.#2 Penn State blew a 15 pt in the 4th qtr and lost to #6 Ohio State. PSU and HC James Franklin were badly out coached by OSU and HC Urban Meyer in the 4th qtr as this loss may cost PSU any chance of getting back into the CFB Playoff race. Georgia moved up into the #2 position as they pounded the struggling Florida Gators. Florida then parted ways with HC Jim McElwain over many reasons and this is just the tip of the iceberg for the firing of top Head Coaches in the coming weeks.  The next firing should be and will be of no surprise to anyone, will be the firing of Tennessee Volunteers Head Coach Butch Jones.  The Vols suffered another embarrassing loss this time on a late score by Kentucky. Jones a great recruiter, isn't a top coach and it shows as Tennessee year in and year out get some of the top recruits in the Country but never seem to be able to get to the top level of play.
Wisconsin continues to plow along and is the #3 team in the Country and also remains undefeated.  Notre Dame whose only loss is a 1 pt loss to #2 Georgia, ran roughshod all over NCSU to move up into the Top 10. Oklahoma still has the best shot for the Big 12 chances to get into the playoffs, face off in a huge game with state rival Oklahoma State this Saturday.  Ohio State travels to Iowa in another B1G showdown. Iowa State once again beat a Top 5 team for the 2nd time this season, topped TCU a few weeks after beating Oklahoma. They have become the spoilers of the Big 12 so far this season. South Florida was upset at home by Houston and this ended a non Power 5 conference chances of getting into a CFB Playoff Bowl.
Remember, I generally only pick games whose point spreads are 7 points or less and always pick a minimum of 4 underdogs a week. Joey the CFB Analyst went 25-6 in week 9 including picking 3 upsets, YTD, He is 173-47 with 33 upsets picked. Watch for His week 10 picks later this week.
On a separate note, We saw the NCAA once again become the laughing stock of College Athletics as they showed how spineless they have become in issuing not even a slap on the wrist to North Carolina in an alleged repeat of major infractions of academic fraud against the Tar Heels athletes. In a ruling that took years to complete, it showed the lack of any power by the NCAA anymore. College athletics have become a huge money making machine for Colleges and Coaches, especially in Basketball and Football and I look for the NCAA to continue to be powerless going forward.
