CFB Top25 Week 6 and Recap of week 5 by CupofJoeintheD

        Here is the CFB Top 25 Week 6, updated by Joey the CFB Cat Analyst and also by CupofJoeintheD and recap of Week 5 of the CFB season  Biggest game of the week seen Washington State beat previously unbeaten USC to stay tied with unbeaten Washington in the PAC12 North. Biggest upset of the week was Troy going into Baton Rouge and downing LSU. Georgia trounced Tennessee in Knoxville to leave no doubt they are the second best team in the SEC behind Alabama. Tennessee HC Butch Jones should start feeling the heat as He has Top 10 talent every season but doesn't have the results to show for it. Clemson remained the clear #2 team in the country behind the Roll Tide. It was a weekend of numerous blowouts by Top25 teams. Many of the Top25 teams played tuneup games against inferior opponents as the grind of the Conference season starts in full force this weekend. Most Heisman hopefuls put up some gaudy numbers in hopes of impressing the voters early on. Remember, I generally only pick games whose point spreads are 7 points or less and always pick a minimum of 4 underdogs a week. Joey the CFB Analyst went 19-6 in week 5 including picking 4 upsets, YTD, He is 79-24 with 17 upsets picked. Watch for His week 6 picks later this week. 
     On a separate note, this past week, We saw the ugliness in college sports as the US Justice Department handed down indictments and charges against Coaches and Schools in the wake of an NCAA Basketball scandal. The biggest person mentioned so far has been Louisville HC Rick Pitino who has been mentioned to have allegedly funneled 100k to a basketball recruit and the school has placed him on indefinite leave. Pitino denies the allegations but has put his home up for sale in Louisville. Pitino and the Cardinals are still waiting for final punishment from the NCAA for a sex scandal at the school a few years back. I am sure this is just the tip of the iceberg and many more programs and Coaches will be affected by this scandal. College athletics have become a huge money making machine for Colleges and Coaches, especially in Basketball and Football and there will be much more to come!
