Realistic BBall expectations for MSU and UofM

Lets face it, We have been spoiled by the incredible success of MSU and Tom Izzo and also the recent success of UofM basketball.  But as with almost every program, there is a down year or two that will happen.  As already evidenced this early basketball season, both MSU and UofM have suffered embarrassing losses to non-conference not so good teams that have beaten them on their home courts.  Bad defense, inept offenses, misses free throws, inexperienced players are just a few of the issues that both schools face this year.  I think more realistic expectations for both MSU and UofM this year will be making it into the NCAA tournament. Anything can happen once a team makes it into the tournament but as it looks right now for both of these teams, just making it into the NCAA tournament will be a challenge in itself.  A big break for both MSU and UofM this year is that the Big Ten as a whole is down a notch in regards to other years and that also may help both teams to a few more wins.  Yes, We have been spoiled for the past 15 years or so, this year may challenge the resolve of these 2 teams as well as in ourselves as we watch allot of struggles and frustrating moments this basketball season both at MSU and UofM.        #CupofJoeintheD
