Lack of scoring punch equals loses for the Red Wings

Where are the goals for the Detroit Red Wings? The losses are mounting one after another and the common denominator is lack of scoring.  Too may games where they are only scoring one or maybe 2 goals and either losing by a goal or in the shootouts are really starting to add up in the loss column.  The defense and goal tending are above average in the league but the lack of scoring is becoming very evident game in and game out for the Wings. I am sure Ken Holland and Mike Babcock know this and hopefully are looking to add a goal scorer or 2 long before the trade deadline The Wings started out of the gates blazing this season and were at the top of the standings or close to it in the Eastern Conference for the first couple of months. Now the skids are more than a couple of games at a time and the most recent one showed the lack of scoring as the main reason for the seasons longest losing drought.  The skids will only get longer unless the Wings find more goal scoring and win games scoring more than a goal or 2 every night. I wonder what Mr. Holland and Mr. Babcock are wishing Santa will bring the team foe Christmas?
