Dominic Raiola - Did He or Didn't He?

The million dollar question as it relates to Dominic Raiola of the Detroit Lions is this, Did He or Didn't He step on the Chicago Bears lineman Ego Ferguson's ankle on purpose? If you listen to Chicago wide receiver Brandon Marshall, Raiola is a thug and should be suspended and tarred and feathered at the least.  If you listen to Dominic Raiola, he stepped on his ankle by accident trying to step over him. As of now, the NFL has sided with the Bears (surprise surprise) and given Raiola a one game suspension. Raiola has asked for a hearing which will be today in hopes of getting this suspension overturned.  Whether he did it one purpose or not, one has to ask themselves as well as the NFL this question. Does this action of Raiola merit a one game suspension? If he indeed did it on purpose, is this any more blatant or to cause more harm to the Chicago player than all the other intent to cause harm fouls this year in the NFL.  There have been some pretty blatant helmet to helmet hits to defenseless players or rough hits to other players which caused a concussion or injury in which the player who caused the injury only got  a slap on the wrist and a huge fine, sometimes the fine  was very small and no suspension at all.. We all know tempers flair and football is a very emotional and intense game and there is always going to be trash talk, unnecessary roughness, helmet to helmet hits, intentional and accidental goings on. It is what it is and this is what makes the NFL , the NFL.  If we continue to nit pick and not let men be men on the football field we might as well put the pads away and start playing flag football. We tool the fighting out of hockey and look where that has gotten the NHL. We need to let the players play and let them play like the did in the golden years when men were men and football was football played in the trenches in all out war....   #CupofJoeintheD
