NFL Week 14 Picks by Cooper the Analyst and Cup of Joe in the D

NFL Week 14 kicks off with the New England Patriots visiting the Los Angeles Rams. The Patriots are coming off 2 wins to put them back in the Playoff hunt but this is a must win game for them. While the Rams has positioned themselves for a deep Playoff run and potential fist place in the NFC West.

Week 14 has seen the coronvirus continue to invade the NFL and teams don't know until Fri or Sat if they will be playing on Sunday. Players continue to test positive for the virus.  Look for more Players to test positive in the upcoming weeks making the season very susceptible to becoming a Bubble League.

Injuries have become a major concern as more and more Players are succumbing to groin and hamstring injuries. Some teams are already decimated with injuries and I look for this to continue throughout the season. It may come down to healthy decent teams sneaking into the Playoffs and making a run this season.

Week 14 will have some key marquee match ups:

  • Coming off a Bye week can the Buccaneers and Brady rebound against the Vikings?
  • Will Baker Mayfieild continue his current hot streak or will the Ravens stop him again?
  • Are the NYG the team to beat in the lowly NFC East?
  • Can DeShaun Watson continue to play like an MVP under new HC Romeo Crenel?
  • Will Trubisky show why He is the Bears franchise QB finally?
  • Can Miami stop the Chiefs who are on a roll?
  • Will Dallas start to tank after stinking up the joint in Baltimore?
  • Will Henry run roughshod over the Jaguars today?
  • Can Indy rebound after getting blown out last week?
  • Las Vegas got lucky for the 2nd time this season to win at the end, will it continue?
  • Has Raider Derek Carr finally proven His is a Top 10 NFL QB?
  • Will the NYJ finally win their 1st game of the season or will they lose the rest of their games?
  • Why is Adam Gase still the HC of the NYJets let alone in the NFL?
  • How many TD's will Packers QB Rodgers torch the Lions for today?
  • Have the Falcons turned it around under Morris?
  • Can Chargers QB Herbert rebound after a disastrous game last Sunday?
  • Will the Saints bounce back from a bad game last Sunday?
  • How will Jalen Hurts respond as the Eagles starting QB on Sunday against the Saints?
  • Can Washington go into SF and beat the 49ers?
  • Will Big Ben and the Steelers get back on track or will the Bills behind Allen continue to roll?
  • Can Baltimore and Jackson take a step forward and start a downward spiral?
  • With all these NFL Players testing psoitive for Covid and not following protocols, will the NFL start giving out harsher penalties?
  • Which QB is the favorite to be MVP though the first 8 weeks?
  • Is the NFL and NFLPA putting the games and $$$ ahead of the Players safety?
  • Which team is next to fire their HC this season? Lions fired Patricia and GM Quinn after the Lions Thanksgiving debacle.....

Through the first 13 weeks we are seeing who are the contenders, the so so's and the pretenders. Contenders this season so far in the AFC; Bills, Chiefs, Ravens, Colts, Titans and Steelers.  In the NFC; Packers,Rams, Saints and Seahawks   Surprise teams are: Buccaneers, Colts, Raiders, Browns. Worst Teams are: NY Jets, Bengals, Jaguars and Cowboys.

Cooper went 12-3 in Week 13 and is 152-36-1 YTD. We will pick the games each week and post the previous weeks records and recap as we go forward.. Enjoy the NFL Season!!!
