NFL Football Week 8 is Here!!!! The Washington Redskins (1-6) visit The Minnesota Vikings (5-2). The Vikings who have won 3 in a row are coming off a huge win in Detroit while the Redskins lost to the 49ers in a game played in torrential downfalls. Minnesota needs a win to keep pace with the first place Packers in the NFC North. While Washington seems content on vying for a Top 3 pick in next years NFL Draft.
Week 8 will see in London the still win less Cincinnati Bengals are at the LA Rams. This should be a snoozer of a game and an easy win for the Rams. The Buccaneers fresh off their bye week travel to face the Titans. From one week to another you never know which team will show up for both Tampa Bay and Tennessee. New Orleans hosts the Cardinals in a game of two high octane offenses playing each other. Only difference is that The Saints have a great defense while Arizona has an average at best defense. Denver travels to Indianapolis to face the 1st place Colts. The Colts have surprised many especially since QB Andrew Luck retired and was replaced with backup QB Jacoby Brisett. The Jets visits the Jaguars. New York hopes to bounce back after a terrible performance on Monday night. In the game, Jets QB Sam Darnold had a bad game that was setup by the lack of HC Adam Gase play calling and letting the young QB get slaughtered on pass plays.
Seattle visits the Falcons who look like they have thrown in the towel on the season. Also, QB Ryan went down with an ankle injury and will be a game time decision. The Bears host the Chargers in a game of two disappointing teams who were favored by many to be in the battle for first place in their Divisions but both teams have major issues. Chicago's offense is anemic and the Chargers defense has been bad. Philadelphia travels to Buffalo and takes on the one loss Bills. The Eagles fresh off a beatdown on Sunday night football try to salvage their season while the Bills look to stay a game behind the Patriots. In Detroit, a game between two banged up and injured teams the Lions host the NY Giants. It is a must win game by both teams.
The late games feature the undefeated 49ers hosting the Panthers. Carolina off its bye week, continue to start at QB Kyle Allen who has won all 4 of his starts while ex starting QB coming off his injured foot takes a seat. The Cleveland Browns travel to New England to face the undefeated Patriots. The Browns and its QB Baker Mayfield have allot to prove in a must win game for the Browns. The Texans host the LA Raiders. Both teams have had up and down seasons and this game looks like another high scoring game. The Sunday night game features the 1st place Green Bay Packers at the Kansas City Chiefs. In what was billed as a QB shootout will now be without one of the top QB's in the game. The Chiefs will be without Patrick Mahomes who injured his knee in last weeks game.
The Monday night game showcases the Miami Dolphins (0-6) at the Pittsburgh Steelers (2-4). Miami who continue to look like a team selling off all its top players to ensure the number one pick next year face a Pittsburgh team in turmoil and looking as missing the playoffs for the 2nd straight year.
On a side note, the NFL Trade deadline is 5 days away and trades are already happening. The big ones this week were the Patriots acquiring Mohamed Sanu from the Falcons for a 2nd round pick and then the Pats placed WR Josh Gordon on IR. The 49ers acquired Emanuel Sanders from Denver for draft picks. And the Seahawks acquired S Quandre Diggs from Detroit for a 5th round pick. All 3 of these trades seem like steals for the teams acquiring the players.
The NFC North is without doubt the toughest Division is all of Football...
The season is a bit over a 1/3 of the way thru and only a handful of
teams are showing they are the front runners to get to Super Bowl LIV.
They are the Patriots, Seahawks, 49ers, and Saints. Next tier of teams
are the Packers, Chiefs, Texans and Rams. Surprise teams this season are
the 49ers, Lions, Bills, Seahawks, and Colts. Biggest disappointments
so far are the Bears, Browns, Falcons, Titans, and Chargers. Teams that
appear to be vying for next years #1 draft pick are the Dolphins,
Bengals, Falcons and Redskins.

NFL Football Week 7 is Here!!!! The Kansas City Chiefs (4-2) visit the
Denver Broncos (2-4) in the Mile High City. Denver has won 2 in a row
while the Chiefs have lost 2 in a row. Chiefs QB Mahomes has a bum ankle
and the OL is banged up while Denver seems to have found their run game
and the Defense is playing lights out.
Week 7 will see the Rams at the Falcons. LA traded away numerous draft
picks to acquire disgruntled Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey earlier in the
week. Ramsey who missed games due to a mysterious back injury is all of a
sudden cured and ready to play this weekend. Detroit hosts the Vikings
in a must win Divisional game for both teams. Minnesota which plays like
a Playoff team at home cruised by the Eagles while the Lions lost a
game at Green Bay that once again was decided by numerous bad calls late
in the game by the Officials. More on this later in this article.
The Jaguars travel to Cincy in a game that Jacksonville needs to win
and as for the Bengals, it looks like they have mailed in the season.
Arizona visits the Giants in a game that sees two teams going in
different directions. The Cardinals offense is cruising and New York
which has injuries to their offensive weapons look to try and keep this
game close. The undefeated 49ers visit the one win Redskins. San Fran
looks dominate on both sides of the ball. Washington on the other hand
barely escaped a win last week against the win less Dolphins after
blowing a 14 pt 4th quarter lead.
Green Bay hosts the Raiders. The Packers which were handed a win on
Monday night seek to keep on top the NFC North. The Raiders fresh off a
bye week look to win their 2nd game in a row. Houston visits the Colts
in an AFC South battle. Both teams need to win this game. Buffalo plays
host to the win less Dolphins in a game that looks like an easy win for
the Bills. The Chargers who are reeling and have a lot of injuries,
will face the Titans who have benched Mariota in favor of veteran Ryan
Tannehill. Tennessee's offense looks like it is playing in the 70's
while wasting away a top 5 defense.
The Seahawks host the Ravens in a battle of the 2 most electrifying
QB's in the league. Both are playing like MVP's and both need to win
this game that looks like it could be a shootout. The Saints visit the
Bears in a game showcasing 2 top defenses but only New Orleans has an
offense to go along with their defense. In the Sunday night game the
Eagles travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys. Both teams have 3-3 records
yet the Cowboys have lost 3 in a row after beating up on the bottom
feeders to start the season. The Eagles HC Doug Pederson has guaranteed
his team will win this game. The Cowboys seem to be spiraling downward
once again.
On Monday night the undefeated Patriots travel to NY to face the
Jets who are coming off their first win of the season. Both teams have
injuries and it looks like it will come down to the offenses. On a
side note, the NFL once again has a Black Eye after Millions of fans
saw the Officials not blow one but two calls late in the Lions-Packers
game on Monday night. The blown calls cost Detroit the victory. The NFL
came out with a statement saying their was one blown call and yet again
couldn't admit they blew at least 2 calls late in the game against. The
NFL (NOT our FAULT LEAGUE) needs to be held accountable for blatant bad
calls by the Officials but they won;t until the Sponsors and Owners do
the right thing and hold them responsible.
The NFC North is without doubt the toughest Division is all of Football...
