CFB Top25 Week 3 by Joey the Cat and CupofJoeintheD

      Here is the CFB Top 25 Week 3 and a recap of week 2, updated by Joey the CFB Cat Analyst and also by CupofJoeintheD. Week 2 of the CFB season were games that were pretty much for the most part games where the Top 25 teams played cupcake teams to pad their resumes except for a few meaningful games... The top games of the weekend seen #1 Clemson beat up on #12 Texas A&M and in a shootout #6 LSU topped # 7 Texas in a battle of Top 10 teams.  Alabama continues to play a relative easy non conference schedule as do many of the Power House teams and until the Playoff Committee has the gumption to penalize these teams for doing this and not worry what the Sponsors of the Big Bowls think, there is little chance that the Top 5 or so Elite teams will lose a non conference game.
      Teams that struggled mightily were the Michigan Wolverines who needed 2OT's to survive a scare from unranked Army. And the UCLA Bruins who lost for the 2nd straight week as did the Tennessee Vols. How do once elite teams fall so far from grace and lose games they should of easily won? Not sure whose fan base and alums are more upset, the Bruins or the Vols?
      Maryland is a surprise team this season so far as they have trounced their first 2 opponents including decimating then ranked #20 Syracuse.  Ohio State and Oklahoma have taken care of business so far as has Alabama and their cream puff non conference schedule once again. 
     Week 3 starts the conference schedule for some teams and others continue to play their last non conference game. Will we see more of the same or will the true upsets starts this weekend.
      Joey was 16-2 in week 2 including picking 2 upsets. YTD, Joey is 30-5 with 5 upsets picked thru week 2.  Joey will provide his picks of the week on Thursday as he does every week.
