NFL Week 5 Picks by Cooper the Analyst and Cup of Joe in the D

Week 4 of the NFL Season is in the books and Week 5 starts tonight.... The Indianapolis Colts (1-3) travel to New England to face the Patriots (2-2).  The Patriots are heavily favored and coming off a resounding win last Sunday and the Colts lost in OT and are without Top WR TY Hilton.
On Sunday, the first place Bengals host the Dolphins as Cincy with one of the top offenses in the league look to put up points against Miami's porous defense. The Titans fresh off their impressive OT win last week visit the Bills who were shut out last week.  Carolina coming off their bye week, look to continue their winning ways against the Giants who are struggling on both sides of the ball. In Pittsburgh, the Steelers look to outscore the Falcons in a game that features 2 Top offenses but also 2 very bad defenses. Pittsburgh no doubt misses RB Le'Veon Bell.  The Broncos look to rebound from their 4th quarter collapse on Monday night as they face the NY Jets. The Jets who have lost 3 straight games are not playing good football right now.  In a huge AFC battle the Jaguars visit the Chiefs in KC in what could be a look at the AFC Championship game in January. KC can score at will and Jacksonville has the #1 defense.
Other Sunday games have Green Bay traveling to the Motor City to play the Lions. Detroit is playing much better then their record indicates and this game will come down to which defense can make the bigger stops. Packers QB Rodgers hasn't looked like himself since his week 1 knee injury. The Browns host the Ravens. Baltimore looks like a good team and the Browns are up and coming and will continue to get better as the season plays on.  Oakland, which finally won last week, travels to face the Chargers who are looking to play more consistent.  The 49ers look to beat the Cardinals and keep Arizona without a win. In possibly a preview of the NFC Championship game, and the first meeting of these two teams from last years NFC Championship game, the Eagles host the Vikings. Both teams are coming off close tough losses last week.  The Rams travel to Seattle and face the Seahawks. LA is still undefeated with the top offense and a great defense. Seattle meanwhile is trying to find itself this season.
Sunday night, we see the battle of Texas as the Houston Texans play host to the Dallas Cowboys. Houston which got their 1st win last Sunday, look nowhere near the team they were early on last season while the Cowboys got lucky in their win last week and will need to count on their running game if they want to win this game.  On Monday night, Washington travels to New Orleans. The Redskins are coming off their bye week and a win the week before face the surging Saints who also see RB Mark Ingram return from his 4 game suspension.
The Contenders so far this season are in the AFC; the Bengals, Titans, Jaguars, and Chiefs. In the NFC; Bears, Eagles, Rams,Saints. Surprise teams so far are the Dolphins and  Panthers.. The pretenders so far are; Bills, Raiders, Texans.   Cooper went 11-4 in his week 4 NFL Picks   He is 39-22-2 thru 4 weeks. We will pick the games each week and post the previous weeks records and recap as we go forward..
