MY Why Why WHY's and Thoughts of the Week in the "D" and Elsewhere. 8.19.15

A Weekly Post of My Thoughts and Question to Everyone of Why?  In the "D" ( new thoughts are written in red to my previous Thoughts and Questions)
 Why  did State Reps Courser and Gamrat lie about their Sexual Affair? (Sex Scandal floors the Michigan Capitol - Two State Reps, Todd Courser and Cindy Gamrat allegedly had an affair that has caused a Black Eye on the Michigan Legislature over this Sex Scandal! The alleged extramarital affair and cover up has been nothing short of bizarre with accusations of Courser being blackmailed,  a cover up including lying about Courser having sex with a male prostitute to cover up the affair, to asking staff members to be part of the cover up in itself.  The story which first broke last Friday in an audio recording of Rep. Todd Courser and an aide of his in which Courser is heard telling the aide that a story was concocted and put into email form and sent to State Republicans in May of 2015 that was a complete "sham" and "scam" to throw off the alleged blackmailer and others that Rep.Courser knew would be becoming for His head and be asking for his resignation. The aide who was fired, released the audio recordings after urging Courser to resign but Courser refused and as of this post continues to be defiant in the wake of the Sex Scandal that has now gotten international attention and even Late Night host Jimmy Fallon making fun of the situation the other night.  Rep.Cindy Gamrat is supposedly making a statement in the next day or so in regards to the alleged affair. The solution to this Sex Scandal is simple: Both Rep.Todd Courser and Rep. Cindy Gamrat need to take responsibility for their actions admit what everyone already knows that they had an extramarital affair, show some sincere remorse and humbleness and be held accountable for the affair and whatever will happen , happen as there will be an internal investigation to see if any laws have been broken and to see if they will be removed from office or if they will do what is right and resign in the face of this Sex Scandal and cover-up.
Why is the Michigan State Legislature still not able to pass a bill in regards to fixing the roads? The longer this drags out the more the Good People of the State of Michigan are getting angrier and angrier!  The Legislature took the easy way out and in May had the People vote on a new road bill which was defeated by over 80%. The People spoke and let the Legislature know they would pass a sales tax if all the proceeds from the sales tax went to the roads and the roads only! But both the Dems and Repubs once again will not listen to what the People want and they have been fighting ever since to include all sorts of other bills which include other provisions as well. (Hello State Legislature, for once just listen to the People and do as the People have asked!! End of Question, End of Story!!!!!)
Why are so many bridges and underpasses in such bad shape and yet the State is doing very little to fix them in an urgent manner? (Again, the infrastructure of the roads and these areas in Michigan are bad, really bad and despite what the State continues to tell us, I do not see a clearly defined plan to help fix these areas where they are becoming more and more unsafe each and every day. Dilapidated bridges and over passes are crumbling and causing major issues and are becoming very unsafe to drive on and under for motorists. )
Why is it all these beautiful renovated properties in Detroit are so high priced as condos and apartments and lofts that hard working middle class can't afford to live in them?  Where is all the so called affordable housing promised in the City of Detroit and who figured out the cost of what affordable housing really is?( Again, no one wants to say what constitutes affordable housing in Downtown Detroit! $2.00 a sq. foot is not affordable to anyone except the affluent and they make up only a small percentage of those living in Detroit. On a side note, kudos to Meijers' for opening their 2nd grocery store within Detroit's city limits.) Still waiting for those who keep saying affordable housing is going to make up 20% of the Detroit housing market to define what this actually means and where it will be)!!!!!
Why does Aldoph Mongo claim racial profiling when He is stopped by the DPD for a traffic violation? (Mr. Mongo was stopped by an African American Police Officer for allegedly running a red night. During the traffic stop, Mr. Mongo could not produce a drivers license nor proof of insurance. The Officer ran everything thru the Police Computer and it showed Mr. Mongo had outstanding parking tickets and no insurance on his vehicle. Mr. Mongo then called the Police Chief directly when He wasn't able to talk his way out of a ticket or that his car was going to impounded! Ironic that Mr. Mongo thought that if He called the Chief the Chief would help him out.. Instead the Chief had a Supervisor come out and Mr. Mongo had someone bring Him his license and proof of insurance Mr Mongo all the while this was going on berated the Officer as He was just tying to do his job including telling the Officer to arrest him and take him to jail. The officer remained cool and did his job. Mr. Mongo has asserted that He was a victim of racial profiling and that the Officer berated him over and over. Although the first 26 minutes of the traffic stop had no sound, when the sound came on you could hear Mr. Mongo doing all the talking and giving the Officer a hard time.  Police Chief  Craig in response to Mr. Mongo's comments said if He was the Officer at the traffic stop, he would of indeed arrested Mr. Mongo for the way he berated the Officer. (Mr. MOngo was for whatever reason tryign to egg on the Officer and after all was the one who berated and disobeyed the Officer. I commend the Officer who had to deal with Mr. Mongo and his out bursts. Mr. Mongo, you are suppose to carry your license on you when you are driving and have your insurance on you or in the car as well!!) 
Why  is violence on the upswing at an alarming rate in the City of Detroit! Violent crimes, robberies, car jacking, drugs,  and homicides are on the rise? why why why and what is being done to combat these issues? (Robberies, car jackings, shootings, brutal violence, and overall crime seems to be on the rise again, Police Chief of Detroit says He wouldn't get gas at night in the City of Detroit with all the carjackings going on, tells us all we need to know about how unsafe the City is right now).
Why did a Jewish Camp Counselor do what He did at a Kids Camp? A 21 year old counselor at a Jewish day camp was charged in federal court Thursday with producing child pornography after investigators said he filmed prepubescent boys in a locker room.  Matthew David Kuppe, a Jewish Community Center counselor faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted of three child pornography charges, including production and possession. Federal Agents, local police and prosecutors are still trying to figure out exactly how many more possible victims there may be.
Why do fast food workers think they are entitled to $15/hr to start when a Detroit Police Officer starts at only $14/hr? Does anyone else see what is wrong with this picture?  Community activists are rallying with fast food workers here in Detroit demanding that the workers start out at $15/hr. This is crazy to say the least!!! There is no doubt that Police Officers are underpaid to do a job of protecting a City and putting their lives on the line everyday.  But fast food workers thinking they deserve $15/hr is even crazier! Raising wages of fast food workers to $15/hr would likely raise prices of fast food by 3x the price they are at now and allot of fast food restaurants will go out of Business. Yes the workers deserve to be paid a bit more than minimum wage to start but if you raise their wages to $15/hr to start, you will have to raise every other job profession to a minimum of that and many other small businesses will also close their doors!!!



Elsewhere:
Why do all the Presidential Candidates assume the American People are stupid? ( It seems that Candidates are lining up from both parties for the next Presidential election and have already started to slam all other candidates even those in their own Political Parties. I find it quite amazing but also very troubling that all these Candidates use the media to tell everyone what is wrong with their opponents and all the terrible things they have done and what they stand for and why their opponents won't be a President instead of telling the People what makes them stand out as a Candidate and why they should be the next President and where they stand on key political issues and lay out to the People what exactly is their platform. But we have become a society where it is better to mislead and tear apart our opponents instead of taking the high road. When is the last time We have ever seen a Presidential race that took the high road and ran a clean and just campaign and not a mud slinging tear apart each other and never tell the People what the Candidates really stood for and how they would run the Country if given the chance?)
Why does the Government continue to be so nonchalant when other Nations hack into our National data bases? ( It was confirmed a couple of weeks ago that China has hacked into our National Security Data Base as well and that Russia had hacked into the White House Data Bases and all We hear is that the US Government is looking into it! This is absurd, we continue to hear that Terrorist Groups and other Nations continue to hack into our Countries computer systems as well as Businesses too. When will we as a Nation stop fooling ourselves and see that the intentions of these Nations and Terrorists Groups are for real and need to be addressed immediately! It is time to stop being for Politically or Diplomatically correct and make sure all these who continue to jeopardize the safety of our great Nation take heed and notice!)
 Why does Hillary Clinton think the Nation is dumb when She knows that using her personal email server for sensitive National Security emails was wrong? Clinton knew better and then had her hard drive wiped clean before handing it over to the FBI. If she thinks this will go away in time for the Presidential elections, she sure is wrong!! Critics are others are demanding answers and she just continues to deny she did anything wrong, time will tell if she did or didn't but int he meantime I would be more worried that she has lost allot of voters who are questioning her honesty and trustworthiness. VP Biden is a brilliant man standing in the wings waiting for this to continue to question her integrity and soon I am sure He will announce his Candidacy and Clinton might be in real trouble then!
Why can't the DNC and GOP play well together and try, just try to find common ground on anything? ( I find it insulting as an American that both parties continue to think the great People in the USA should sit back and let them stay along party lines that are full of archaic thinking and the good ole boys networking while the Country is falling apart in front of Our eyes and everyone else's as well.)
Why do We the People of this great Nation keep allowing these lawmakers to tell us what they are going to do for us instead of them listening to what we want and not what their Party wants for us? ( Again neither party listens to what the needs are of the People or do they want to, they expect us to take whatever they try to cram down our throats.)
Why do all the Presidential Candidates never lay out a true platform agenda and where their stand on all the issues at hand and even more so why do We, the People, continue to accept from the Parties a common no response answer? ( We will ever see in Our lifetime, a true political agenda from all Presidential Candidates and what their stance is on key agenda items that are important to the People and not hear the normal blah blah blah .) (All the Pres. Candidates are starting to emerge for their perspective Parties and the slamming of each other has begun. For just once, please have these Candidates tell us what their actual platform and stance on critical issues are instead of trying to tell us what their opponents aren't good at)!!!!!
Why do We continue to jeopardize our Nations security by not making our borders more secure? ( It seems that everyone tells us how important it is to keep our borders secure and to keep the People of this great Nation safe, but it is used as a ploy and bargaining chip by both parties to get what they want and allow potential harm to come our way.)
Why are Billions of our tax dollars being wasted by giving out benefits to people who have been dead for years and sometimes decades and also where we say someone is deceased when they are alive and yet these People have to suffer as a mistake is made over and over and over and these People cannot get at their assets because they have been frozen or seized? ( This has been happening for decades and every time someone brings it up, we are assured that it has been corrected and will not happen again, but as we can see it is getting worse not better and we continue to spend countless billions of dollars for no good reason that could be used elsewhere or here is a good idea, to lower our debt!)
Why do we give Hundreds of Millions of dollars in tax break to the oil companies when they charge us the People for any disruption in oil, when their refineries go down, etc.. when there oil companies make Billions a quarter in profits? Other businesses must absorb these costs by themselves.( We can thank Congress and our elected officials for this, they do not feel the brunt of these costs as the People of our Country do! Oil Companies get richer and richer while the regular hard working person tries to do more and more with less and less yet we keep giving millions and millions in tax breaks to these Oil Companies and not care about  the American People.)
Why do the lawmakers not ask us the People what We want in regards to the Keystone pipeline and come clean with all the data and information so we have an honest and clear picture of all the pros and cons? ( This will never be given an honest answer to, because both sides get way too much in givebacks and political contributions form those who stand to make billions off this Keystone pipeline.)
Why do we as a Nation continue to allow US Companies to use loopholes to not pay their fair share of taxes owed to the US Government? (Again the American People suffer and these Businesses get richer and richer. Here is another idea, close the loopholes that continue to allow these companies to get away with not paying their fair share of taxes, if they threaten to close down their operations in the USA, then also include in the law that they cannot export their product here and see how quick they change their minds.)
Why do the Veterans of this great Country continue to have to wait for healthcare or their appointments get pushed off for months and months and why do they not have the best health care available immediately after they have served and given their lives for the USA? (They say health care is getting better for our Veterans but where is the proof, data can be skewed and hearing reports and interviews with our Veterans, nothing indicates that it is getting better for them.)
Why is it alright for Candidates and Lawmakers to use misleading and deceptive ads against others or against propositions to serve their own purpose? This ads should have to be honest and truthful. ( Again, the States and the Federal Gov't need to step up and put into law , a very clear and detailed law(s) that outline very concisely what can and cannot be put into ads or propositions. When will we stop all the ill gotten mud slinging and deception that is being allowed?)
