DeflateGate discipline will define Goodell and the NFL!!!

It has been 5 days since Ted Wells report came out in regards to DeflateGate.  Rumors are swirling as to what kind of discipline the NFL and Roger Goodell will hand out to Tom Brady and the Patriots.  Roger Goodell was cited in numerous reports saying He had a duty to all the Owners in the NFL to do what was right to protect the integrity of the game. It would seem to me that the punishment and disciplinary actions would of already been handed out if this was true. Goodell had no problem dishing out punishment to AP but has been very lax in many other instances and the punishments he has doled out haven't in most cases fit the reported infraction.  Everyone knows Goodell and Kraft are BFF's and I am sure since the report came out that Kraft and the Patriots have been bending Goodell's ear with what they propose if any discipline should be handed out.  This is the problem with  the Good Ole boys era and with a league (The NFL) that makes money hand over fist for its Owners. The NFL doesn't truly met out punishments true to the infraction except in the cases of banned substances and even then the Player and the Players Assoc, usually try to stand in the way of the punishment. Most recently, the Falcons got fined and lost draft pick(s) for piping in loud noise against opponents during the game, yet the Browns GM illegally sends text messages down to the field during a game and only gets a fine and no loss of draft picks. Dirty plays or illegal hits on a player usually results in a fine to the player but a few players are in Goodell's and other Owner's doghouse and they get punishments much harsher then others who do the same thing. Make no mistake about it, Goodell is the Owner's Puppet and they pull the strings at will, even with all the Black Eye's that have happened with Goodell as the Commissioner, the NFL is making so much money that the Owners have clouded judgement when it comes to the issues within the league when they look thru money studded glasses and a fat wallet. Goodell from various sources is not well liked by the Players or  Fans, those who are Sport Reporters and the Sport Pundits and even many Owners have grumblings about him and all that has transpired under His watch.   But Goodell and the NFL are richer than ever and even when the integrity and credibility of the NFL (Not our Fault League) is called into question, Goodell and the Owners sit back knowing that they continue to rake in the money no matter what has happened within the NFL. The NFL is at a crossroad right now, where the integrity of the game has been repeatedly called into question, this time by DeFlateGate that involves allegedly the most dishonest team in all of Pro Sports and the Golden Boy (Tom Brady) whose image has been tarnished badly by all of this. Many now question Brady's integrity and Credibility and going forward have said they cannot believe what He says anymore! There is no doubt the NFL and the Patriots and Tom Brady want all of this to go away and the NFL was very smart to wait and unleash its findings after the NFL Draft. But Goodell and the NFL and the rest of the NFL know what needs to be done next with the Patriots and Brady to move forward and restore the integrity and credibility of the League! The question remains, will Goodell and the NFL do the right thing and dole out a punishment and discipline to deter this from ever happening again? On my twitter feed, I asked the question to many, should the Patriots and Brady be punished for this and the results were an overwhelming yes, but even more so, were the offered insights as to suspending Brady for up to an entire season without pay, loss of  3 or 4 high draft picks in the next 2 or 3 years and a huge fine for the Patriots organization as well an NFL mandate where Goodell needs to distance himself from being BFF's with certain Owners and start to be a true Commissioner and not play favorites and implement guidelines that address these issues and hopefully to slowly remove the Black Eye and Black Cloud that has hung over the NFL for years now and to also bring back the integrity and credibility to the game that the NFL once had and needs to once again instill in itself.  Once again, we all wait and see what the NFL will do and will they do the right thing or will Goodell's legacy continue to show He is nothing more than the Owner's puppet..   @cupofjoeinthed
