NFL Free Agency = Show Me the Money, Show Me more Money!!!!!

It has been a fantastic and frenzied few days this week for NFL Players, Teams and Fans as the signing of Free Agents and Teams making trades has begun!  Teams and Fans alike have been salivating and counting down the days since the end of the Season for the Free Agency signing period to begin, which it officially did on Tuesday.  Numerous Free Agents went to new teams and other players were either traded or released as Teams tried to free up more cap space to sign the big name Free Agents. The biggest name on the FA market was Ndamukong Suh, who went from the Detroit Lions to the Miami Dolphins. Suh told everyone a year ago he wanted to be the highest paid Defensive Player in the NFL and he held true to his word and didn't have any loyalty or care where He played or whether his new team would be good or bad as long as they showed him the money and made him the highest paid defensive player in the league. He signed a 6 year, $114M deal, but lets call the deal as to what it really is, it is a 3 year deal with $60M guaranteed! Stephen Ross, the owner of the Dolphins, whose ego is as big as his checkbook, cut players left and right to have the cap space to sign Suh but He also thought he could sign Frank Gore and Andre Johnson who met with him but said no thanks and signed with the Colts. There were other notables FA signings in the first few days of Free Agency as well and Teams who are bringing in other Free Agents to fill starting positions as well as add depth to their rosters. Free Agency for allot of players is nothing more than saying to the owners of NFL Teams, you show me the money and I will come and play for you!  It is all about Big Business for both the Owners and Players where Teams cut and release players during the off season usually to clear up salary cap space and players who are free agents go where the money is and sometimes where a team wants them as a player. Teams try to build their teams through the draft, free agents and some trades but always have to do it under the salary cap. The salary cap increased $10M this year and yet salaries are still out of whack!
A saying that fits the NFL and its Players very well, "It is a Dog eat Dog League, and the Players are wearing Milk bone underwear"!!!! The saying means just this; the Players for the most part do not give a Damn about the Fans or the Teams they are playing for, it is all about Show Me the Money and keep Showing Me the Money!!!! And  the Owners, for the most part do not give a Damn about the Players or the Fans, to them it is all about Make Me the Money, Make Me More and More Money!!!!!!!!! And this means to the Fans just this, ticket prices will continue to rise, your beer and pop and food prices will go up and up!!! @cupofjoeinthed
