It was another Sunday of any team can win on any given Sunday in the NFL. For the second straight week, the Dolphins overcame a double digit deficit to win late in the game. Backup QB Matt Moore who replaced the injured Jay Cutler threw 2 TD's in the 4th quarter to beat the Jets. The Bills on a last second FG beat the struggling Buccaneers in a defensive struggle in Buffalo. In Indy, The visiting Jaguars shutout Indianapolis as Jacksonville's defense once again was stout and the the Jags steamrolled the last place Colts. In the shocker of the day, the Bears behind 2 defensive TD's beat Carolina. The Panthers were out of sync on offense, yet Chicago won another game while the offense was inept at best. In LA, the Rams continued their winning ways as they won easily over the Cardinals. Arizona lost QB Carson Palmer for the rest of the season with a broken arm. The snoozer of the day was in Cleveland where Tennessee beat the win less Browns 4 FG's to 3 FG's (12-9).
In other early Sunday games, We saw the Saints win again and take over 1st place in the NFC South with a big win in Green Bay. New Orleans defense was strong and the offense dominated the Packers. The Minnesota Vikings had little trouble with the Baltimore Ravens who once again couldn't throw the ball downfield and the Vikings won for the 5th time in 7 games. The Cowboys fresh off their bye week went into San Francisco and ran over the 49ers who have yet to win a game. Ezekiel Elliott whose case goes in front of the Federal Court in New York next week scored at will.
The late games saw the NY Giants struggle mightily again and lost their 6 game in 7 tries as Seattle cruised to victory in NYC. The surprising Chargers who have seem to resurrect their defense and just enough offense also had a shutout, this one against the confused and dazed Denver Broncos. Pittsburgh fresh off their win in KC the week before, put away the Bengals. The Steelers took it to Cincinnati who couldn't get anything going on offense. In the night game, it was a rematch of last years Super Bowl but it ended up being a dud as New England trounced Atlanta to remain in 1st place in the AFC East.
The Monday night game saw two NFC East team facing each other for the second time this season and once again the Philadelphia Eagles and their potent offense wore down the Washington Redskins and won for the 6th time in 7 games. Eagles QB Carson Wentz threw for 4 TD's and the defense did the rest.
