Super Bowl 51 Preview and Prediction by NFL Analyst Cooper

It is officially here, Super Bowl 51 is just days away and already there is so much talk about the New England Patriots and winning the game will give both Head Coach Bill Belichick and Tom Brady records for most Super Bowl wins in history. The Patriots are currently 3 point favorites over the underdog Atlanta Falcons.  The Patriots who are 16-2 including 2-0 in the playoffs this season  were the #1 defense for least points allowed this year and they will be facing the highest scoring team in the NFL this season. The Falcons are 13-5 and also 2-0 in the playoffs this season.  It will be a great match up of 2 of the NFL's top QB's this year in New England's Tom Brady and Atlanta's Matt Ryan and both are the top choices for MVP.         Both teams had similar Playoff runs to reach the Super Bowl.  The Falcons and the Patriots have had blowout wins in each of their games in reaching the Super Bowl. Both teams are well rested.
The Patriots on offense rely mostly on QB Brady's throwing and a balanced running game with veteran LeGarrette Blount and Dion Lewis and are more used late in games after wearing teams out. Tom Brady who missed the 1st four games of the season with a suspension for the infamous "Deflategate" scandal, came back with a vengeance and had an MVP season in only 12 regular season games. The defense is what makes this team so special and good, they held opponents to the lowest scoring against them all season long and special teams also has been a mainstay of a Bill Belichick led team. A major weakness for this team seems to be the OL who for periods of time this season have been beaten up physically by opposing DL's and allowed Brady to get battered at times.
The Falcons are the most explosive team in the NFL with a very balanced passing and running attack. With QB Matt Ryan who also has had an MVP worthy season, also has 2 excellent RB's that can run or catch the ball out of the backfield and also have arguably the beat WR in all of football in Julio Jones. The defense can get after the ball and also gets after the QB. The question will be can this young inexperienced defense hold up in the pressure of a Super Bowl game?
Looking at this game, these are 2 very high powered explosive offenses capable of putting up a lot of points and defenses that have proven themselves all season long.  Both the Patriots and Falcons are relatively healthy and this game could go many ways. The game could be a high scoring last team with the ball winner, a defensive struggle, a blowout, a game of turnovers or whose special teams step up. Both teams are built for years of success with different styles of play but both have shown resiliency in winning many games this year. Many also are looking forward to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell handing the Lombardi Trophy over to Tom Brady if the Patriots win this game.
Cooper the NFL Analyst was 2-0 in picking the Conference Championship Games and is 6-4 so far in the Playoffs, after going 189-65-2 during the season, Cooper is picking the New England Patriots to win 31-27.       twitter; @cupofjoeinthed   email; cupofjoeinthed@gmail.com    www.cupofjoeinthed.blogspot.com
