NFL Week 13 Picks by Cooper NFL Analyst and Cup of Joe in the D

NFL Football Week 13 begins with the Dallas Cowboys (10-1) and winners of 10 straight visiting the Minnesota Vikings (6-5) who are a game out of 1st place in the NFC North. Dallas will try to continue their winning streak and remain with the best record in all of the NFL while the Vikings look to get back on track after losing 5 of their last 6 games.
In the early games on Sunday, New Orleans host the Lions in a game of 2 teams coming on strong. Detroit in first place in the NFC North and winners of 6 or their last 7, look to continue their winning ways to remain on top. The Dolphins with a 5 game winning streak travel to Baltimore to face the 1st place Ravens. The struggling Broncos visit the Jaguars in a game that is a must win for the Broncos and Jacksonville losers of 6 straight just want to win.  The Bengals host the Eagles in a game that Philly has to win especially coming off a poor Monday night performance and Cincinnati who has struggled all season looks to try to gain some momentum for next season. Kansas City travels to Atlanta in a big must win game for both teams in their perspective divisions.  The Patriots, leaders in the AFC East face the LA Rams and rookie QB Jared Goff.  Green Bay losers of 5 of their last 6 face a Houston team whose offense has been bad as they look to rebound from a terrible game last Sunday.
The Sunday late games start with a game that has the makings of a tough Heavy weight fight, the Bills travel to Oakland to face the Raiders.  The NY Giants, winners of 6 straight visit the Steelers in another game where it is a do or die must win game for Steelers. The Giants are sitting comfortable in the 1st WC spot right now in the NFC. Tampa Bay winners of 3 straight and vying for an NFC WC, travels to San Diego. This will be a very intriguing game as the Buccaneers defense has come alive as of late with a balanced offense and the Chargers who last week went into Houston and played their best game of the year to down the 1st place Texans. The Arizona Cardinals host the Washington Redskins in a game of 2 very different teams. The Redskins are in playoff contention, while the Cardinals have been one of the most disappointing team in all of the NFL, will need a miracle to make the playoffs this season.
The Sunday night game has the Panthers traveling to Seattle to face the Seahawks. Both teams are coming off tough losses last Sunday but the Seahawks are in first place in their Division and Carolina is in last place in theirs. At the beginning of the season both teams were mentioned as potential Super Bowl teams.
On Monday night, the NY Jets, a team out of playoff contention face the Indianapolis Colts a team just one game out of 1st place in the weak AFC South are getting healthy for the first time since week 1. It will be a true test to see which teams show up. Another reason the NFL should have a system in place to change out the Monday night teams when the teams that were scheduled to play in this game at the beginning of the year are now teams just playing out the season for the most part and no doubt outside of the 2 markets of these teams, the tv ratings will not be good for this game.
A question for all those who love the NFL, is the NFL becoming too friendly of a league between the players?  It seems the days of hated rivalries and teams playing good tough physical football with a chip on their shoulders has gone by the wayside.
With injuries mounting for many NFL teams this season, those who have fantasy football teams are scrambling this season to just put a team out there week in and week out.  Week 12 results;  Cooper 14-2, YTD; 136-39-2   CupofJoeintheD 13-3 ,  twitter; @cupofjoeinthed  email; cupofjoeinthed@gmail.com
