NFL Week 12 Picks by Cooper NFL Analyst and Cup of Joe in the D

Have a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving to You and Yours!!!!
NFL Football Week 12 begins with 3 Thanksgiving Day games starting with a clash for 1st place in the NFC North as the Minnesota Vikings (6-4) visit the Detroit Lions (6-4).  Minnesota relies on its defense while the Lions are the best 4th qtr team in the NFL this year. The second game features the Washington Redskins (6-3-1) facing the Dallas Cowboys(9-1).  Washington seeks to grab a playoff spot and Dallas seeks to make it 10 wins in a row.  And the night game is a battle between the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5) and the Indianapolis Colts (5-5) in Indy.  A match up of two AFC teams, trying to just stay in the playoff race.
In the early games on Sunday, the struggling 49ers, losers of 9 straight, travel to Miami and face the surprising Dolphins, winners of 5 straight.  Arizona visits Atlanta in a game featuring 2 teams going in different directions, the Falcons are in 1st place in their Division while the Cardinals are a game under .500 in their Division.  The LA Rams with rookie QB Jared Goff at the helm are in New Orleans to face the Saints. The Rams blew a late lead in Goff's first game while the Saints for the 2nd game in a row had a blocked PAT cost them a game.  The puzzling and banged up Bengals travel to Baltimore and face a tough defensive minded Ravens team. San Diego a team who is better then their record indicates faces a Houston Texans team on the road in a battle of an good offense against one of the best defenses in the NFL.  Buffalo fresh off a win but with a big question mark at RB with Shady McCoy hurt, will face a Jacksonville Jaguar team that has lost 5 straight and will lose 10 games this year. The surging NY Giants travel to Cleveland and face a Browns team that is winless and doesn't have any motivation except to not lose all their games against a Giants team that has played very good this year.
In the Sunday late games, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who snapped the Chiefs 5 game win streak on the road are at home to play the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle who lost 2 more RB's last week are playing some of their best football.  The Carolina Panthers travel to Oakland to play the 1st place and perhaps the most surprising team in all on football in the Raiders.  New England travels to NYC to face the NY Jets, a team in disarray,  the Jets decided to start QB Ryan Fitzpatrick in this game in a very strange move in not playing the rookies to find the QB of the future while the Pats and QB Tom Brady are humming along every week.  This should be an ugly blowout win for the Patriots.
In the Sunday night game, the Kansas City Chiefs coming off a bad loss at home are traveling to face the Denver Broncos who are fresh off their bye week. Both teams have good defenses but the Chiefs have a better offense and the loser of this game has a good chance at not making the playoffs.
On Monday night, the Philadelphia Eagles host the Green Bay Packers. Both teams are struggling badly, but the Eagles have a very good defense against the Packers who have no defense and this could end up being high scoring. Green Bay has struggled to stop teams as of late and it looks like the Packers will have a hard time trying to go 8-8 this season. It is time for HC McCarthy to coach the whole team and bring in an OC to run the offense, but both McCarthy and Rodgers need to let the new OC do his job and not meddle as they did in with the last OC  before they fired him.
With injuries mounting for many NFL teams this season, those who have fantasy football teams are scrambling this season to just put a team out there week in and week out.  Week 11 results;  Cooper 10-4, YTD; 122-37-2   CupofJoeintheD 11-3 ,  twitter; @cupofjoeinthed  email; cupofjoeinthed@gmail.com
