Here
is the CFB Top 25 Week 9, updated by Joey the CFB Cat Analyst and
also by CupofJoeintheD and a recap of Week 8 of the CFB season. #1 Alabama playing their 4th straight Top 20 team, once again proved they are the best in the Country beating previously undefeated #6 Texas A&M. #2 Ohio State was shocked by unranked Penn State and dropped out of the Top 10. #3 Michigan rolled over a bad Illinois team and #4 Washington continues to play great football. Louisville behind Heisman favorite Lamar Jackson crushed North Carolina State to move up to #5 in the Country. #7 Baylor continues to remain unbeaten and West Virginia moved up into the Top 10. Nebraska held off a pesky Purdue team to also stay perfect and both Boise State and Western Michigan have perfect records but they are not in the 5 Powerhouse Conferences. Middle Tennessee State won on the road as they downed Missouri. Temple upset South Florida and SMU surprised a Houston team that now with 2 losses has been eliminated from the CFB Playoff race. Texas lost their 4th game of the season further adding fuel to the speculation that HC Charlie Strong will be fired at the end of the season. LSU is slowly moving back up the SEC ladder with their 3rd straight win under interim HC Ed Orgeron and have a bye week before they face Alabama in 2 weeks at home. Auburn steam rolled Arkansas to leap up into the Top 15. The SEC and B1G seem to be the top 2
of the Power 5 conferences this season as evidenced by the Top 10
teams. Joey
Baloney went 14-2 in week 8,
including picking 4 upset winners and is 119-26 after 8 weeks, including picking 30 upset winners. Here are week 9 winners, Ohio U, USC, VT, AF, South Florida, GT, SMU, Central Michigan, Temple, ECU, KSU, Minn, Kentucky, WVU, Houston, NCSU, ND, Tenn, Auburn We will revise our Top 25 every
