Both teams had different Playoff runs to reach the Super Bowl. The Broncos played 2 close down to the end games while the Panthers were in 2 blowout wins for the most part. The Broncos rely on their dominating defense to beat opposing teams and an offense that under Peyton Manning seem to have just enough to score points to win games. The Panthers on the other hand in the playoffs have used a quick strike offense and a smothering defense that has forced numerous turnovers by the other teams. Injuries will play a huge roll in this game as both teams have used the extra week off to help mend some of their injured. Turnovers as well need to be limited for both teams and catching and holding onto the ball will be paramount. Both teams rely on running the ball to set up their passing games but Newtons versatility running as well as passing will put much added pressure on the front 7 of the Broncos defense. Denver has to find a way to keep QB Manning upright or this game will be over quickly. The Panthers defensive front 7 have been explosive in their last 2 games and a quick short passing game is essential for the Broncos to have any chance of winning. The Panthers OL as good as it has been will need to subdue the quick front 4 of the Broncos DL to allow the running game to get going and allow Panthers QB Newton to find his speedy WR's and the allusive TE Greg Olsen to get open in the passing game.
All in all, lets hope for an exciting Super Bowl and if this is Peyton Manning's last game, let him go out with his head held high and a game well played, win or lose. On the other side, Newton is the new prototypical QB, big and fast and the new model QB for the NFL. Both teams are built for years of success with different styles of play but both have shown resiliency in winning many games this year.
