Puppy Bowl XII vs. Kitten Bowl III written by Joey Baloney aka The Cat

Puppy Bowl XII is going to be the best one yet! It will have over 80 adoptable puppies from 44 shelters and rescue groups represent 25 states across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Animal Planet is also partnering with the Pro Football Hall of Fame to introduce the Puppy Bowl Hall of Fame to honor legacy players throughout PUPPY BOWL and promote the adoption of older "veteran" animals in addition to puppies and kittens.PUPPY BOWL XII kicks off  with a furry group of line barkers and wide retrievers, making adorable fumbles and tumbles in an effort to score winning touchdowns for #TeamRuff and #TeamFluff. A Hometown native from Clarkston, Michigan named Brooklyn will be a favorite dog to watch. If you're not in the mood for Coldplay, and Beyonce, this year's KITTY HALF-TIME SHOW brings a cat filled San Francisco inspired kitten takeover to the Bay Area. These ferocious felines are on a spree of cat like destruction as they paw across historic landmarks including the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf and infamous "Al-Cat-Raz.".  Meep the Bird also returns to provide all the latest and greatest news on the puppies from the Geico Stadium. Chickens will roam the sidelines as cheerleaders this year and their is a new assistant referee named Stanley the Skunk. Also their will be kittens and a hedgehog as the bond between puppies and these animals will be highlighted.
The Kitty Bowl starts Super Bowl Sunday off at Noon on the Hallmark Channel. All the kittens and cats are available for adoption. “Not only are these cats some of the best players in the Feline Football League, but also they are looking for their forever homes,” said Boomer Esiason, FFL Commissioner. “These champions will make loving and playful additions to any family looking to adopt an animal in need.”
An estimated 25 million viewers will be watching Puppy Bowl XII which will air on Animal Planet while over 10 million viewers will watch the Kitty Bowl III which will air on The Hallmark Channel. Major sponsors who purchase commercial time for these Bowls must also commit to being sponsors and advertise all year round with all programming on these channels. This year advertisers include GEICO, Bissell, Subaru and, of course, Pedigree. All the puppies and kittens are available to be adopted right after the Bowls air on television through the shelters and some are even adopted by staffers of the events.  My favorite part is seeing how cute all the kittens are as well as how well the puppies play together and knowing that all my friends will get adopted and go to good homes to be with their new families.  So if after watching the Kitten Bowl and Puppy Bowl you decide you or you and your family is looking for a kitten or cat, puppy or a dog, please visit the animal shelters in your area and pick out a new family member. Remember to always have your Cats and Dogs spayed and neutered. My little brother Joey (NFL Analyst) and My cousin Katie (NHL Analyst) will be joining me to watch and breakdown and recap the Puppy Bowl and Kitty Bowl on Sunday. My name is Joey Baloney aka the Cat and I approve and wrote this post....                                                                @cupofjoeinthed
