A recap of week #2 of the college football season. The Top 5 ranked Teams won their games with #5 Michigan State beating #7 Oregon in a close but very exciting game 31-28 on Saturday night. This was the first meeting of Top 10 teams this football season. With the win, MSU moved up to #4 in the polls. Ohio State played uninspired football and beat Hawaii and remained at #1. TCU and Alabama cruised thru their games as did Baylor. Auburn a 40+ point favorite to beat Jacksonville State needed a shanked punt and OT to win their game and slid back in the polls this week. Oklahoma needed a 4th quarter comeback and OT to beat Tennessee to remain undefeated. Arkansas at home, was beat by Toledo and fell out of the Top 25. It was an embarrassing defeat for the Razorbacks. ND came from behind to beat Virginia but in doing so lost their starting QB for the year. BGSU went into Maryland and totally dominated the Terrapins, a bad loss for Maryland and the B1G conference. Syracuse started slowly against WF but routed WF in the second half and pulled away. WSU won late against Rutgers in a game pitting 2 bottom feeders of their conferences. Houston went into Louisville and handed them their second straight defeat. BYU is slowly looking like a possible Cinderella team after knocking off #20 Boise State a week after winning in Nebraska on a last second Hail Mary pass. The Top 25 should every week going forward start to change as Top 25 Teams start playing within their own conferences as well as other Top 25 teams each week going forward. Here is a look at Joey the Cat CFB Football Analysts Top 25 thru week #2.
