NFL Week 12 Picks by Cooper the Analyst and Cup of Joe in the D

NFL Week 12 kicks off with Thanksgiving games between the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions and the Washington Football Team at the Dallas Cowboys. The 3rd game of the day was postponed due to another Covid outbreak and will be played next Tuesday night,

Week 12 has seen the coronvirus continue to invade the NFL and teams don't know until Fri or Sat if they will be playing on Sunday. Players continue to test positive for the virus.  Look for more Players to test positive in the upcoming weeks making the season very susceptible to becoming a Bubble League.

Injuries have become a major concern as more and more Players are succumbing to groin and hamstring injuries. Some teams are already decimated with injuries and I look for this to continue throughout the season. It may come down to healthy decent teams sneaking into the Playoffs and making a run this season.

Week 12 will have some key marquee match ups:

  • Can Dallas make it 2 in a row or will they revert back to their terrible selves?
  • Will Cleveland continue to win even though Mayfield is an average at best QB?
  • Can Herbert and the Chargers go into Buffalo and upstage the Bills?
  • Huge showdown between the top 2 teams in the AFC South, will Tenn get even?
  • Are the NYG the team to beat in the lowly NFC East?
  • Can Murray and the Cardinals go into NE and beat Newton and the Patriots?
  • Can the Raiders rebound from their tough loss last week and beat a bad Falcons team?
  • Is this the week that the Jets finally get their first win against the Dolphins?
  • Will the real Vikings team show up today against the Panthers?
  • Denver without any QB's this week keep it close against the Saints?
  • Will Goff build on last weeks performance and lead the Rams to a win against the 49ers?
  • In another QB showdown, who will be better today, Mahomes or Brady?
  • Can Trubisky come in and lead the Bears to a win in GB against Rodgers and the Packers?
  • Will Wilson and the Seahawks go into Philly on Monday night and beat the Eagles?
  • Can Baltimore and Jackson beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh without many of their starters?
  • With all these NFL Players testing psoitive for Covid and not following protocols, will the NFL start giving out harsher penalties?
  • Which QB is the favorite to be MVP though the first 8 weeks?
  • With the devastating knee injury to Bengals QB Burrows, will He be back next season?
  • Is the NFL and NFLPA putting the games and $$$ ahead of the Players safety?
  • Which team is next to fire their HC this season? Lions fired Patricia and GM Quinn after the Lions Thanksgiving debacle.....

Through the first 11 weeks we are seeing who are the contenders, the so so's and the pretenders. Contenders this season so far in the AFC; Bills, Chiefs, Ravens, Colts and Steelers.  In the NFC; Packers, Rams, Saints and Seahawks   Surprise teams are: Buccaneers, Bears, Colts, Raiders, Browns. Worst Teams are: NY Jets, Bengals, Jaguars and Cowboys.

Cooper went 11-3 in Week 11 and is 126-31-1 YTD. We will pick the games each week and post the previous weeks records and recap as we go forward.. Enjoy the NFL Season!!!
