NFL Week 5 kicks off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visiting the surprising Chicago Bears. The Bucs behind QB Tom Brady are where most thought they would be while the Bears so far have eked out wins against sub par opponents. Thus will be a good game to measure just how good the Bears might be this season.
Week 5 has seen the coronavirus continue to invade the NFL and
games have now been postponed as well as rescheduled. Most notably were
the numerous positive Covid results for the Titans and Patriots QB Cam
Newton and now the Bears and Chiefs as well have people who are positive. The NFL has to decide if teams are following protocols in regards to the coronavirus. Look for more Players to test positive in the upcoming weeks
making the season very susceptible to becoming a Bubble League.
Injuries have become a major concern as more and more Players are succumbing to groin and hamstring injuries. Some teams are already decimated with injuries and I look for this to continue throughout the season. It may come down to healthy decent teams sneaking into the Playoffs and making a run this season.
Week 5 will have some key marquee match ups.
- Will The Cowboys finally get on track? They should have no issues with the NYG!
- Who still step up and take control of the bad NFC East?
- Which NFL Team is the worst: NY Giants, NY Jets, Falcons?
- When will QB Alex Smith start in Washington?
- Which QB is the MVP though the first 3 weeks?
- Which undefeated team will win this week, the Bills or Titans?
- Will Rodgers continue His impressive season in Green Bay?
- Can the Browns continue their winning ways against the Colts?
- Which game this weekend will be the highest scoring?
- Will Pittsburgh remain on top of the AFC North?
- Can Russell Wilson continue his torid streak throwing TD's?
- Is the NFL and NFLPA putting the games and $$$ ahead of the Players safety?
- Which team is next to fire their HC after the Texans axed Bill O'Brien?
Through the first 4 weeks we are seeing who are the contenders, the so so's and the pretenders. Contenders this season so far in the AFC; Bills, Patriots,Chiefs, Ravens, Steelers and Titans. In the NFC; Packers, Rams, Saints, Seahawks and Bears Surprise teams are: Buccaneers, Bears, Colts, Raiders, Browns. Worst Teams are: NY Jets, NY Giants, Vikings, Falcons, Bengals and Texans.
