Elite 8 is Here, time for these 8 teams to win

The Elite Eight is here and it is full of the perennial favorites and also a few surprise teams and a few teams no one had at all reaching this point in the NCAA Tournament. The Teams that are left vying for next weeks Final Four and Championship Game on April 8th in Minneapolis are as follows:
#5  seed - Auburn
#3  seed - Purdue
#3  seed - Texas Tech
#2  seed - Kentucky
#2  seed - Michigan State
#1  seed - Gonzaga
#1  seed - Virginia
#1  seed - Duke

The NCAA Tournament started with 68 teams and we are now down to the last Eight. Gone are a couple of the favorites, brackets busted, players from teams eliminated already announcing for the upcoming NBA draft and some Coaches fired and others moving onto hopefully greener pastures and new teams. College Basketball Fans alike root for their favorite teams but also seem to root for an underdog going as far as they can as march Madness starts to wind down with one week left to go.
The Sweet 16 saw both North Carolina (Auburn won) and Michigan (Texas Tech) get blown out and Duke for the second straight game won as Virginia Tech missed a bunny as time ran out. Last weekend it was UCF that had the winning put back spin out. Tennessee held on as Houston took them to the last seconds. Gonzaga struggled with Oregon before eventually winning. Purdue showed allot of gusts as they outlasted Tennessee in OT to win and advance to the Elite 8. Both Michigan State and Auburn cruised to wins and advance as well.
Duke has been the luckiest team so far and has yet to live up to their potential. The top player in the Tourney, Zion Williamson has played good but not at the level needed to carry his team to the Championship game. Virginia and Texas Tech are defensive teams who would rather smother an opponent than win in a high scoring game. Auburn and Purdue play very fast up tempo games and are happy to win games in the 80's. Kentucky has been lucky as well and will have to play better to win in the Elite 8. Gonzaga has played in the easiest Bracket and looks to get back to the Final Four again. Michigan State has played through injuries and is the most intriguing and physically dominant team left in the Tournament.
Joey once again is having a very successful picking of his NCAA Bracket, going 48-8 and 7-1 in the Sweet 16 games and so far and still has 7 out of the 8 team in the Elite Eight.  Here are Joey the Cats picks for the Elite Eight...  twitter; @TheCupofJoeintheD   email; cupofjoeinthed@gmail.com    www.cupofjoeinthed.blogspot.com
