The team of announcers for this first time event consist of animal advocate Beth Stern, longtime host of the Kitten Bowl. She will also be joined by former NBA player John Salley and Kitten Bowl's Mary Carillo.
A few of the "cat-letes" will be, Meow Ming, Stephen Furry, Lonso Fur-Ball and Kevin Purr-ant.
This sporting event, which will air at 8 p.m. features match-ups between super star teams from schools like the University of Fishi-gan and the Univeristy of North Cat-alina, which are all fighting for a chance to get into the Final Fur and win it all. There will be dunks, brackets crammed with cuteness and even puppy cheerleaders all in one adorable television event. The best part is that all the kitten competitors are adoptable baby cat.
The show is staged on a mini basketball court in midtown Manhattan, New York. A few of the "cat-letes" have names like Meow Ming, Lonso Fur-Ball, Stephen Furry, Kevin Purr-ant and Meow-Tumbo that roam all over the court as well as a faux-Vegas casino area where they could “make bets.”“I played basketball when I was younger and love the sport,” Stern said. “What could be better than putting together the sport I love with all of these adorable kittens.”
Remember to always neuter and spay your kittens and cats and all your adoptable pets.
