DeFlateGate Saga Done, Tom Brady and Patriots tarnished Forever!!!!

The DeFlateGate Saga hopefully has finally reached the end with Roger Goodell and the NFL (NOT our Fault League) upholding the 4 game suspension to Tom Brady. In previous blog posts on my blog dating back to right after the AFC Championship Game, I maintained from the beginning, it was more about who knew what? who lied about what? who was involved? and as the days and months went on afterwards, who lied, who cheated, who deceived, who covered up, etc, etc, etc.... Even after the punishment was announced, the Patriots and the Patriot fans who have tweeted for months that the Pats and Brady did nothing wrong, remained steadfast in denial even after Kraft spoke to the media and proclaimed the Pats and Brady's innocence only to days later decide to accept the NFL's punishment of a $1M fine and loss of 2 draft picks. Ironic after He claimed over and over the Patriots did nothing wrong,  Kraft  accepted the punishment from the NFL.  In trying to explain DeFlateGate, Kraft quickly announced the Pats did a complete and thorough investigation and found nothing wrong. Only after the NFL investigation started to uncover the truth, all of a sudden the Patriots decided to place the blame on two employees that worked for the organization. The Patriots, Kraft, and Brady knew the truth would come out sooner or later and they continued to downplay the seriousness of DeFlateGate but decided to sign Matt Flynn to a one year deal knowing there was a very good chance Brady would be suspended for the first 4 games of this upcoming season.

Now for Tom Brady, as I wrote before, his Golden Boy image has been tarnished forever and He may be in the top 5 greatest QB's ever but DeFlateGate has severely damaged his reputation, called into question his character and integrity and I know many including myself will question whatever He says going forward. In Roger Goodell's statement as to why the NFL upheld the 4 game suspension, it was revealed that Brady instructed his assistant to destroy his cell phone less than 24 hours before Brady's meeting with NFL investigator Ted Well and that was very troubling to Goodell and the NFL. Brady's lame excuse was He destroys his cellphone on a regular basis. He and his PR team could of come up with another excuse better than that one. Brady's cell phone contained over 10,000 texts covering the time period of the tampering charges against Brady, Kraft, and the Patriots.  Goodell was quoted as saying,
“Rather than simply failing to cooperate, Mr. Brady made a deliberate effort to ensure that investigators would never have access to information that he had been asked to produce,’’ Goodell wrote in a 20-page decision denying Brady’s appeal of his suspension.
Brady’s action “leads me to conclude that he was attempting to conceal evidence of his personal involvement in the tampering scheme,’’ Goodell ruled.
Brady, his agent, and the NFLPA, all maintain his innocence but refuse to address why Brady refused to cooperate in the investigation, hindered and covered it up, and destroyed the evidence. I am sure this will end up in Federal Court but the damage is already done to Brady, Kraft, and the Patriots organization. It is time for the Patriot fans and Brady idolizers to admit as well as Brady himself, that The Patriots and Brady are cheaters and once again earn the reputation as the most dishonest Pro Team in all of sports. Obstructing and covering up of evidence in an investigation is a very serious offense, just as is deflating footballs to gain an unfair competitive advantage! To me,  DeFlateGate is far worse than Spygate! Brady as I have stated often as well as the Patriots and Robert Kraft (Owner) now will have all their accomplishments questioned, they have been branded and liars and cheaters and their images are tarnished beyond question. I have to ask one question to the Patriots, Kraft, and Brady, was it really worth it ? My simple answer answer is, no way in the World was it worth it!!    @cupofjoeinthed
