Spring Training is finally here and the Air is filled with Excitement and Hope!

Spring must be close as Spring training has started for MLB teams. Pitchers and Catchers reported a few days ago and the rest of the players will report to their respective teams next week. This is always a great time for the fans, for it is the start of the preseason Grapefruit league where fans and teams have hope and promise of this being their year to win the World Series. Rookies and Veterans are vying for roster spots and teams are looking at the free agents or players that they traded for in hopes of having the pieces in place to make a run in the playoffs. Fans go to see their favorite team in Spring training and get together at the coffee house or sports bar and as they get more and more excited , they start to boast how good their team is and how they will fare this year. Some teams will look great on paper and others will surprise as the year goes on and others are always picked to be around the top of their Division. But this is what Spring training is all about, it is a special time where all teams feel good about themselves and all know they will start the year 0 -0 as will all the other teams and all have hopes every year as Spring training starts that this will be a Magical Year for their team.  This time of year it doesn't matter who has the highest payroll or the lowest or where the experts think that a team will finish at the end of the year, it is all about the enthusiasm, hope, and the promise of winning it all that has fans clamoring for Spring training and the start of the Baseball Season.  Everyone knows that wins and losses do not matter in Spring training, it is all about seeing a fans favorite team up close and personal as they see known faces along with fresh new faces and those of veterans and others trying to make the MLB roster. So as your favorite team(s) start Spring training  and excitement is in the air, may Everyone cherish this time of year and look towards the start of the 2015 Baseball Season with the same resolve and excitement that a child looks forward to that special present he has asked Santa for at Christmas!                                          @cupofjoeinthed
