The Tigers aren't running away with the Division, nor do they look like a team capable of winning a World Series right now. A month ago, they were the talk of the Baseball world and now they are just barely ahead of any of the other teams in the American League Central. A Division where the teams right now all look mediocre at best. Teams don't fear the Tigers as they once did, for they know if they run the pitch count up on the starters they will get into a bullpen which is struggling badly right now but not as bad as the closer(s) are for the Tigers. With an offense that seems to struggle allot, the Tigers starting pitching on most nights will keep them close enough to have a chance to win. But they can't seem to close out the games they need to be winning, Instead of being only a few games up on the second place Royal, yes you heard me , the Kansas City Royals. The Tigers should be at least 7 or more games on everyone in the Division, but are only up 2 games right now. So many blown saves early, one has to wonder is it time to push the panic button and seek out a veteran closer via a trade or try and wait it out and see how many more games will be lost with blown save opportunities. So it is panic time or is it wait and see time for the Tigers and their closers?
