The Sunday early games will see the Vikings hosting the Buffalo Bills. Minnesota is playing good football and signed ex Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey after their previous kicker missed the game winning FG on 2 separate occasions last Sunday. The Bills, who have been blown out in both losses to begin the season have started rookie QB Josh Allen going forward. The win less Raiders travel to the undefeated Miami Dolphins. Miami is the odds on favorite to go to 3-0 in this game. KC takes on the 49ers at home behind one of the hottest QB's in all the NFL, Patrick Mahomes, who has thrown 10TD's in the 1st 2 games. The Chiefs are undefeated while SF is 1-1. In Houston, the win less Texans take on the win less NY Giants. Both teams have played poorly and the team who can protect its QB and run the ball effectively will win this game. Denver travels to Baltimore. The Broncos who won on a last second FG, face the Ravens who look to rebound after its embarrassing effort last week. Ravens fans are screaming to bench QB Joe Flacco in favor of rookie Lamar Jackson.
Other early games see the Colts travel to Philly. Both teams are 1-1 and this game will also see Eagles QB Carson Wentz return after his season ending injury last year. Philly also has numerous players out and are thin at WR. The surprising Cincinnati Bengals (2-0) visit the Panthers in Carolina. Carolina looks to win this game and hand Cincy their first loss of the season. The Jaguars fresh off their dominating win against New England, host the Titans who may have to play a backup QB the rest of the year as starting QB Marcus Mariotta has a pinched nerve in his elbow. Atlanta is at home to face the Saints. In a battle of top QB's between Brees and Ryan, this should be a high scoring affair. The Packers travel to Washington to face the Redskins. Washington is struggling on offense while Green Bay coming off a tie, looks to keep Aaron Rodgers healthy and win this game.
The late games on Sunday starts off with the Battle of LA, as the high scoring Rams face the Chargers. Both teams have elite RB's in Melvin Gordon and Todd Gurley and both RB's are coming off 3 TD performances. Chicago visits the win less Arizona Cardinals and the Bears with an up and coming top defense continue to struggle with 2nd year QB Mitch Trubisky. The Cardinals who look disoriented and out of sync will be lucky to win 5 games this season. Seattle hosts Dallas. The Cowboys are still looking for their identity this season and the Seahawks look to find a way to protect QB Russell Wilson and establish a running game while looking for their defense to find its own way.
The Sunday night game showcases the Teacher against the Student, Bill Belichick and the Patriots travel to Detroit, to face Matt Patricia and the Lions. Once again, rumblings in Boston surround the relationship between Owner Robert Kraft, HC Belichick and QB Tom Brady. New England in its first 2 games has looked old and slow and signed WR Josh Gordon to help out its receiving corps. The Lions who are still looking for their first win of the season, improved drastically from game 1 to game 2, are banged up on both sides of the ball but especially in the secondary. For Detroit to win this game, they will have to rely on QB Stafford's arm and this could easily be the highest scoring game of the week.
On Monday Night Football, the undefeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bucs are the biggest surprise of the season so far and the Steelers fresh off a thrashing at home are as always the team of drama in the NFL. Le'Veon Bell is still a no show as He looks for a new contract and WR Antonio Brown who never shies away from the Media missed practice on Monday and also continued his Social Media craziness as He stated on Twitter He wanted to be traded. All this came after his heated rampage on the sidelines last Sunday with a Coach. This isn't the first time He has went off on a Coach and definitely won't be his last. One has to wonder if HC Mike Tomlin is slowly losing his Veterans and the team in general.
