NFL Power Rankings Week 10 and Recap

The NFL Power Rankings Week 10 and Recap after week 9 of the Season. Week 9 opened up with the Atlanta Falcons seeking revenge against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after losing 3 straight to the Bucs and the Falcons did just that as the Atlanta high scoring offense put up over 40 points for the 3rd time this year. Falcons QB Matt Ryan is having an MVP year throwing the football around to numerous receivers.
On Sunday, we saw the Detroit Lions win another game coming behind to tie the game in the 4th Qtr on a 58 yard FG that was set up on a pass by QB Matt Stafford moving the Lions from their own 33 to the Vikings 41 with no timeouts remaining and 23 seconds on the clock. the Lions went on to win in OT.   Until Stafford and the Lions accomplished this feat, no other NFL team had achieved this feat going 0-98 when faced with this challenge. The Cowboys won their 7th straight game trouncing the winless Browns behind QB Prescott and RB Elliott. Baltimore beat Big Ben and the Steelers in a defensive match up as Roethlisberger returned from a 4 week injury absence.  In an NFC East showdown the NY Giants took an early lead and hung on to beat the Eagles handing the Philadelphia their 3rd loss in last 4 games. Miami at home downed the NY Jets who also lost another QB and will start Bryce Petty against the LA Rams this week. Carolina won their 2nd straight game in a struggle for both teams.  New Orleans won again behind  their potent offense and a surprising defense. The Chargers beat the Titans in a shoot out and the Colts went into Green Bay and out scored the Packers to hand the Packers another loss. Many, including myself think it is time for HC Mike McCarthy to relinquish play calling duties to a true OC and just coach the team.  The upstart Raiders went to 7-2 , beating the Broncos and remaining in 1st place in the AFC West. The Raiders and the Patriots are the 2 top teams in the AFC this season.
In the Monday night game, the Seattle Seahawks beat the Buffalo Bills in a game that was wide open and high scoring in the1st half and turned into a defense struggle and ball control in the 2nd half. With the win the Seahawks now hold a 2 game lead over the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West.   Cooper went 10-3 in his week 9 picks and is 101-30-2 for the season   We will continue to post His record for each weekend and season total.                                                                            twitter; @cupofjoeinthed    email; cupofjoeinthed@gmail.com
