My 2016 NFL Season Predictions

The NFL Conference Championship Games were pretty much the same as all the rest of the Playoffs games this year. The word is Blowouts. Both games this weekend were games most thought would be high scoring close games but neither game was close at all. Both Home teams won this weekend.
In the first game on Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons throttled the Green Bay Packers. It was the Matt Ryan and Julio Jones show as the Falcons scored the first 31 points before the Packers ever found the end zone. The Packers defense had no answers for the Atlanta offense and Ryan shredded them all afternoon. Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers, was hurried most of the game and couldn't move his offense until mid 3rd quarter which was garbage time as the Falcons were more interested in running out the clock and playing prevent defense. The Falcons balanced running and passing attack was too much for Green Bay to handle and they couldn't hid behind the schemes that Packers DC Dom Caper's had been deploying throughout the playoffs. So the Falcons now move onto Super Bowl 51 where they will face the New England Patriots in a battle of the 2 hottest QB's in the NFL.
In the Sunday night game between the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers, the Patriots scored early and scored often as they rolled up Pittsburgh easily to head to Super Bowl 51 in 2 weeks to face the NFC Champions Atlanta Falcons. Patriots QB Brady tore apart the Steelers secondary that at times looked like a Pop Warner defense as Patriots receivers were seen running wide open all game long. Pittsburgh's offense also took a big blow early when All Pro RB Le'Veon Bell went down with a game ending injury and the Steelers had to rely on the arm of QB Ben Roethlisberger. Steelers receivers dropped 4 balls including 2 sure TD's and once again  Pittsburgh had troubles scoring TD's inside the red zone.
The NFL Conference Championship Games games were very entertaining to say the least, a great defensive battle and also explosive offesne shows as well. But now we are onto Super Bowl 50 where in 2 weeks the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers will face off for the grand daddy of them all. The Panthers will be the early favorites to win but both teams suffered injuries to key players in their games on Sunday which will be important in deciding the Super Bowl.
Cooper the NFL Analyst was 2-0 in picking the Conference Championship Games and is 8-2 so far in the Playoffs, after going 188-58 during the season, check back later this week to see his pick for the SB50 winner. Cooper also correctly picked the Broncos and the Panthers as the two  SB50 teams that would be facing each other on his blog post from 9/1/15.  @cupofjoeinthed
