NFL Power Rankings Week 2 and Week 1 Recap

The NFL Power Rankings  for week 2 and Recap after week 1 of the Season. It was an entertaining and interesting first week of the NFL season.  Both the Patriots and Seahawks lost their openers and these 2 teams were picked to win their conferences and face each other in the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs are atop the Power Rankings after going into Foxboro and taking down the Patriots to open up the season. Pittsburgh took care of business in Cleveland and the Packers dominated Seattle. Both  Dallas and Oakland looked in mid season form. Questions already abound for the Seahawks and NY Giants as their OL were porous at best. Detroit and QB Matt Stafford took down the Arizona Cardinals in a game that saw star RB David Johnson go down with a severe wrist injury and will be out at least half the season.  The Ravens stuffed the Bengals and the Jaguars went into Houston and ran roughshod over the Texans. San Fran never got it going and lost handily to the Panthers. The LA Rams destroyed a bad Colts team who are playing behind their 2nd string QB as QB Andrew Luck continues to rehab his injured shoulder. Philadelphia snapped a 5 game losing streak to the Redskins as QB Carson Wentz had a good game.
On Monday night, there were 2 games and in the first game, the Vikings behind their stellar defense and the accurate throwing of QB Sam Bradford won going away against the Saints whose OL couldn't do much of anything.  In the late game, the Broncos stormed out to a huge lead only to barely hang on at the end as they beat the Chargers. Key injuries again occurred as the Jaguars lost start WR Allen Robinson for the season, Cardinals RD Johnson is lost for at least 8 games and the Bears lost yet another WR as Kevin White is out indefinitely.    Cooper went 11-4 and CupofJoeintheD also went 11-4 in week 1 picks.  We will continue to post His record for each weekend and season total.      twitter; @cupofjoeinthed   email; cupofjoeinthed@gmail.com    www.cupofjoeinthed.blogspot.com
